The Origin Story

It started at a pool party. Artist Shawn Kolodny inflated a set of custom metallic chrome spheres by his pool for a friend's music festival — and posted a video. It went viral. Over 40 million views later, the messages were flooding in: "Where do I get those?"

There was no product to point to. So Shawn made one. Drawing on his background in art and sculpture, he engineered an inflatable ball that combined the mirror-chrome finish people loved with real durability — premium PVC with mylar overlay, metal D-ring attachment points, a locking valve system that stays inflated for weeks to months, and a design that deflates flat for easy storage and reuse.

Shawn Kolodny is a Miami-based artist whose work spans sculpture, inflatable art installations, and large-scale experiential design. His fine art practice and inflatable installation company, Kolossal Arts, create custom works for private collectors, museums, and public spaces.
